Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bus Mechanic to join our team at Autobus la Diligence Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining school buses, performing road tests, and completing mechanical maintenance reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain school buses
  • Perform road tests
  • Complete mechanical maintenance reports and work orders
  • Perform paint and finishing repairs
  • Follow-up on the Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP)
  • Compile parts lists for repairs and keep inventory up to date
  • Monitor warranties
  • Issue parts release slips on work orders
  • Organize workshop (equipment, store)
  • Research technical documentation
  • Clean work and wash areas
  • Install radio, camera and GPS equipment on a new vehicle
  • Detect mechanical problems

Requirements

  • DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of diesel mechanics
  • Knowledge of Cummins, Allison, Wabco and Outlook software
  • Knowledge of hydraulic brakes
  • Knowledge of transmission and engine diagnostics (an asset)
  • Possession of PEP card
  • Valid Canadian work permit
  • Valid Class 5 license
