About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team at KUMON. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing timely and insightful financial reports to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and complete financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Accounting Records Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll records.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards, including tax laws and GAAP.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide timely and insightful financial reports to management and other stakeholders, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and budget versus actual comparisons.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in financial accounting or a related field.
  • Skillset: Proficiency in accounting software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
