Nova Scotia Health Authority has an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner in Oncology to join our team at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. As a key member of our oncology unit, you will provide high-quality care to cancer patients in South West Nova Scotia. Our unit features a satellite pharmacy, excellent nursing and specialist support, and a comfortable and private area for patients. This part-time position (0.4 FTE) is available immediately and offers a variable patient load. If you are a certified family physician with expertise in oncology, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Provide outpatient clinical services to cancer patients in the oncology unit
- Collaborate with our team to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in training and education opportunities to enhance your skills in oncology
- Eligibility for certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
- Successful completion of training in oncology as determined by partnership with Cancer Care Nova Scotia
