About the Position:

SAE Institute is seeking a qualified Audio Engineer and Music Production Adjunct Instructor to join our team. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching audio engineering and music production courses, providing students with hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment and software. Your expertise will enable our students to gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the creative media industries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver course materials that align with SAE Institute's model of curricula and delivery
- Establish a classroom environment that promotes learning and student involvement, using positive communication to motivate students
- Effectively manage the learning environment by being punctual, starting classes on-time, establishing clear guidelines, and enforcing college policies and procedures
- Plan and prepare for classes, focusing on student success and the achievement of learning outcomes

Requirements:

- Must have a certificate, diploma or degree and two years of related work experience OR 10 years of work experience in an occupation relevant to the course of instruction
- Demonstrable experience in audio and expert knowledge of subject matter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to foster a cooperative atmosphere in a diverse community
- Demonstrated time management and critical thinking skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines
- Knowledge of common office software (e.g: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) with the ability to complete administrative functions such as posting attendance and grades in a timely and accurate manner
