The Opportunity:

The YMCA of Simcoe-Muskoka is seeking a Child and Youth Program Instructor to join our team. As a Child and Youth Program Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering quality, values-based programming and services to children, youth, and families.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the mission and core values of the YMCA of Simcoe-Muskoka and the YMCA in Canada.
  • Teach and coach a variety of YMCA child, youth, and family programs.
  • Build relationships with members, participants, staff, and volunteers.
  • Ensure safety, program instruction best practices, and procedures are adhered to.
  • Plan, organize, and implement lesson plans.
  • Maintain records as needed.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure a clean and well-maintained facility.
  • Identify and create opportunities to enhance each person's YMCA experience.

You Bring:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience leading and facilitating group activities for children and youth.
  • Standard First Aid/CPR Certification 'C'.
  • Willingness to participate in mandated training.
