About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at Agfa Healthcare in Waterloo, Ontario. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting software within a project scope, ensuring that work products meet all requisite software development practices and sanctioned work processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software components for our Enterprise Imaging Platform, ensuring high-quality and efficient solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including testers and clinical/technical product managers, to identify and prioritize software requirements.
  • Participate in the architecture and design of large software components, contributing to the estimates of software component designs and reviewing the work of team members.
  • Develop and execute unit and integration test plans and procedures, ensuring seamless integration with other software components.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry and company standards, tools, and technology, applying pragmatic knowledge to business-prioritized software solutions.

Requirements:

  • College/University degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related degree/diploma.
  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on development, design, and coding experience with Java/Angular/Springboot (of significant size and complexity).
  • Experience with Java/Springboot/Angular/Kubernetes/Helm/Playwright.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle & SQL.
  • Attention to detail and ability to quickly absorb new concepts and technologies.
  • Good verbal and written communication and knowledge transfer skills.
  • Team player with problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
  • Solid commitment to quality software development.
