Job Overview

Fraser Health is seeking an exceptional healthcare professional to fill the role of Regional Practice Lead, Research and Knowledge Translation. This position plays a crucial part in advancing knowledge mobilization and integrating research evidence into practice within our health services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare research, management, or leadership, with experience in promoting knowledge translation and exchange activities. They should be able to lead collaborative efforts to identify research questions, design creative and applied research frameworks, engage in data collection and analysis, and disseminate research results.

Main Responsibilities:

1. **Knowledge Translation**:
- Develop strategies for participatory and active dissemination and uptake of research findings.
- Provide consultation, education, and support for integrated knowledge translation of key evidence for the advancement of practice, improvement of population health, and/or enhancement of health services.
- Collaborate at local, provincial, and national levels to identify and engage in opportunities for capacity building in knowledge translation.

2. **Research and Scholarship**:
- Adopting an integrated knowledge translation approach, lead collaborative efforts to identify research questions, design creative and applied research frameworks, engage in data collection and analysis, and disseminate research results.

3. **Capacity Building, Teaching, and Education**:
- Provides leadership, mentorship, and guidance to staff in their support of individual or team consultations related to knowledge translation.
- Prepares and leads education and training events to enhance KT capacity.
- Supports the navigation of data access and documentation required for research proposals and/or ethics reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Master's degree in a health or social science field, including training and/or experience in health services research, research methods, and knowledge translation. A minimum of eight years of experience in health services delivery, management, or research, particularly in LTC settings, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current practicing registration with a BC health professional college.
