Calian is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide clinical services to Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton. As a member of our mental health team, you will be part of a collaborative Shared-Care Model, working with a motivated client population. The ideal candidate will have experience providing psychiatric services to adults, with a focus on pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy using evidence-based therapies such as CBT. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments, providing diagnosis and treatment, and participating in the implementation of treatment plans. The successful candidate will also have experience in delivering psychiatric services for a wide range of mental illnesses and will be registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Additional requirements include obtaining and maintaining a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level. **Key Responsibilities:**

* Conducting psychiatric assessments and providing diagnosis and treatment
* Participating in the implementation of treatment plans
* Delivering psychiatric services for a wide range of mental illnesses
* Providing clinical preceptorship and educational sessions for staff
* Participating as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team in case reviews

**Requirements:**

* Registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
* Specialty certification in psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Psychiatry (FRCPC)
* Experience providing psychiatric services to an adult population 18-60 years of age
* Experience providing pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy with individuals using evidence-based therapy such as CBT
* Experience in delivering psychiatric services for a wide range of mental illnesses
