Job Summary

AirRoad Xpress Inc. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.
  • Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, navigating various road conditions and weather conditions.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining vehicle safety.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance and safety.
  • Communicate with central dispatch, receiving and relaying critical information to ensure smooth operations.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate records and reports.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job, requiring a high level of physical and mental stamina. You will be working independently, with regular communication with central dispatch and other team members.
