Job Overview

Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Security Officer to join our tactical team. As a Mobile Security Officer, you will be responsible for preventing and eliminating criminal activity in the Lower Mainland, Metro Vancouver, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of client facilities, providing access control as needed and granting or denying access based on established protocol.
  • Respond to emergency calls and incidents in a timely manner, escalating problems that cannot be resolved independently and reporting all issues to the Security Command Centre.
  • Dispatch and work with first responders, including police, fire, and ambulance services.
  • Write detailed incident reports for security incidents or damaged properties that occur during shift.
  • Build relationships with surrounding businesses to enhance security measures.
  • Provide technical analysis to troubleshoot security systems.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and rapport with Paladin employees and client staff, handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the client and Paladin personnel.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the security industry.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and a clean driving abstract.
  • Availability to work overnight shifts.
  • Leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer service, professionalism, and communication skills.
  • Experience in handcuff training and self-defense, with advanced security training preferred.
  • Occupational First Aid Level 2 certification is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Post-secondary education in Criminology & Law Enforcement is an asset.

Certification Requirements:

Valid BC Security Licence and Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License.
