Key Responsibilities- Design and develop state-of-the-art automation technologies for self-driving labs
- Optimize robustness of hardware and software modules for chemical synthesis and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into experimental workflows
- Oversee system integration with existing laboratory equipment
- Troubleshoot and maintain advanced robotic systems and analytical instruments
- Prepare technical presentations and contribute to grant proposals and manuscripts
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and environmental management plans
- Master's or Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in automation technologies, preferably in chemistry settings
- Proficiency in Python, API interfacing, and debugging
- Expertise with parametric CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360)
- Experience with UPLC/HPLC instruments and chromatography data systems
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
