About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Software Development Manager - Technical Product to join our growing team.

  • Foster personal and technical skill development within teams to drive productivity and engagement.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, including Project Managers, Coordinators, Scrum Masters, and Project Controllers, in direct or indirect supervisory roles.
  • Prioritize technical product backlogs based on business value, technical feasibility, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Consolidate technical product backlogs to maintain dashboards and inform management decisions regarding strategies and priorities.
  • Manage projects by understanding business partner strategies, prioritizing tasks, leading risk management, and maintaining dashboards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external collaborators, including senior management and stakeholders.
  • Implement best practices in software development and product management.
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to the development team, ensuring a strong understanding of the technical architecture and infrastructure of the product.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in leading development initiatives in the IT field.
  • Strong expertise in web application technologies (Java, JavaScript, Angular, Application Frameworks, CSS, HTML, REST, JSON), object-oriented development, software debugging, security, observability, resilience, and performance.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Experience in continuous delivery management and change transformation management.
  • Project management skills: planning, budget and schedule management, scope management, risk management, timely decision-making.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required for effective communication with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • A valid authorization to work in Canada is necessary.
