We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Affinity Group. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing business transformation projects from initiation to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Initiation

Work with the Project Sponsor to identify strategic drivers for projects and the benefits and measurements that will result from the project delivery.

  1. Project Planning

Develop and maintain detailed project charters, plans and budgets including activities, deliverables and milestone due dates.

  1. Project Execution

Manage project scheduling, estimating, forecasting, budget monitoring and cost reporting for assigned projects.

  1. Resource Management

Determine the resource requirements and dependencies to successfully deliver the project and assign tasks to team resources.

  1. Communication

Build working relationships and communicate regularly with the immediate team, and those outside of the immediate team that have an effect on project completion.

  1. Team Leadership

Plan, assign and direct the work of cross-functional project team members. Provide coaching and mentorship as required. Team members may include operational and technical staff, contractors and vendors.

  1. Issue Management

Manage project issues, proactively mitigate project risks, and lead conflict resolution.

  1. Decision Making

Make decisions and recommendations regarding project scope and related changes required to facilitate a successful outcome.

  1. Quality Assurance

Ensure quality and completeness of the project delivery.

  1. Documentation

Manage the creation of required project documentation.

  1. Operational Standards

Ensure adherence to operational standards and guidelines.

  1. Reporting

Produce regular project status reports as well as periodic update presentations to Steering Committees and other management staff.

  1. Performance Metrics

Define and measure project performance indicators and take appropriate corrective action. Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure continuous improvement and learning.

  1. Industry Knowledge

Keep current with trends and issues in the Information Technology (IT) industry.

Requirements
  1. Experience

Minimum of 8 years of IT project management experience with at least 5 years in a Project Manager role working with budgets, complex systems and interfaces.

  1. Senior PM Expertise

Senior PM expertise to manage business transformation projects as needed.

  1. Communication Skills

Experience communicating across all levels and organizations.

  1. Project Management Methodologies

Experience in project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.

  1. Education

University degree in the field of computer science or business administration or equivalent professional experience.

  1. Technical Skills

Expertise with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.

  1. Interpersonal Skills

Excellent communication skills.

  1. Negotiation Skills

Strong interpersonal skills.

  1. Certification

Effective negotiator with key internal and external stakeholders.

  1. Hourly Rate

Hourly rate: $110 per hour.
