The Role

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Kindred Food + Drink. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting an exceptional experience for our guests by providing expert beverage knowledge, building relationships, and showcasing natural showmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be the face of our bar, welcoming guests warmly and with enthusiasm, and ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.
  • You will be knowledgeable about our offerings, including cocktails, wine, and beer, and be able to share fun facts and recommendations with our guests.
  • You will be a team player, communicating effectively with colleagues and managers to ensure a smooth service.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining accuracy and organization when it comes to guest tabs, ordering food, and pre-setting guests up before food arrives.
  • You will go above and beyond for special requests or celebrations, taking food preferences and guest allergies seriously.
  • You will take ownership of your bar, checking and maintaining beer keg and liquor levels, taking inventory, and assisting the manager with inventory ordering.

Requirements

  • SmartServe Certification
  • At least 6 months of experience as a bartender
  • Enrolled or completed a Hospitality, Food & Beverage, and/or Special Events Program is an asset
  • Wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge is required
  • WSET preferred but not required
  • Passion for food, beverage, and providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift and move beer kegs, liquor, and wine boxes
  • Full availability
