We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist II to join our team at Myron Thompson Health Centre. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging and laboratory services, you will be responsible for directing and supervising the day-to-day operations of our department staff and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and organize the operation of the site Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging departments.
- Perform site-specific manual and automated laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging exams, cardiology procedures, and related duties.
- Supervise and direct the work of department staff, ensuring compliance with established standards and practices.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and department efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and effective communication.
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT).
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time laboratory and diagnostic imaging experience.
- Proven success in supervisory functions, including conflict resolution and customer service.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English and work independently and within a team.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Completion of leadership courses, including effective team building and conflict resolution.
- Experience with development and supervision of effective teams.
