**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team at Keewaytinook Okimakanak. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing services in First Nation communities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community health care, with experience working in remote or isolated communities and with First Nations populations. They will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to speak Cree, Oji-Cree, or Ojibway as an asset.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Nurse-In-Charge to plan, implement, and evaluate programs and interventions to address health issues. You will also collect, assess, analyze, and apply information from various data sources to make evidence-informed decisions for nursing services and program planning.

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, with a minimum of 2 years of full-time clinical practice work experience or equivalent combinations of part-time or Registered Practical Nursing experience.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide comprehensive nursing services in First Nation communities
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate programs and interventions to address health issues
  • Collect, assess, analyze, and apply information from various data sources
  • Work collaboratively with the Nurse-In-Charge and other healthcare professionals

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Registered Nurse (RN) certification in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time clinical practice work experience or equivalent combinations of part-time or Registered Practical Nursing experience
  • Clinical practice experience in remote or isolated communities and with First Nations populations is considered an asset
