Job Description

Cohere Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Research General Manager to lead our research and development efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to drive innovation and growth.
  • Represent the company in negotiations and official functions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Select and develop middle managers, directors, and executive staff to drive business success.
  • Oversee data analysis and reporting to inform business decisions.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for information systems to ensure efficiency and security.
  • Manage staff and assign duties to optimize performance and productivity.
  • Leverage NLP and AI technologies to develop communication assistance features.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, with a focus on research and development.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the company effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, and MS Windows.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and software development.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and data processing.
