We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at Jerusalem Shawarma. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment and possess excellent culinary skills. You will work closely with our head chef to maintain inventory, manage kitchen operations, and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and Cook Complete Meals: Our cooks are responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain Inventory and Records: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Clean Kitchen and Work Areas: A clean and organized kitchen is essential to our success, and you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Organize Buffets and Banquets: You will assist with organizing and executing buffets and banquets to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Manage Kitchen Operations: You will work closely with our head chef to manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A secondary school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Attention to Detail: You will need to have excellent attention to detail to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain your composure under pressure.
  • Physically Demanding: The role requires standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects, so you will need to be physically fit.
  • Client Focus: You will need to have excellent customer service skills and be able to provide exceptional service to our customers.
  • Flexibility: You will need to be flexible and willing to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
