Drywall Finisher Job Description

Dhillon Drywall Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
  • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
Work Environment:

The work environment will be dusty, and you will be required to work in a commercial, residential, or rural area setting.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Or equivalent experience
Physical Demands:

The job requires bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. The work is physically demanding, and you must be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
