Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

Dumas Contracting Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Operating Team, you will be responsible for leading the Safety / Training Department in providing training and safety guidance to all employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with operational departments to develop and maintain a strong safety culture
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure a safe and effective response to emergencies
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and industry partners to promote Dumas' safety initiatives
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. occupational health and safety, environmental science)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role in a mining or industrial setting
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
