Job Title: Lead, Technical Program Manager

At Mastercard, we are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead our Data Science organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a wide variety of data science projects, interacting with data scientists, product managers, engineers, and senior leaders across partner teams in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define roadmap deliverables, develop execution plans, align dependencies, track progress, anticipate risks, provide escalation management, make sound trade-off decisions, and translate technical expressions into business terminology.
  • Interact with data scientists, product managers, engineers, and senior leaders across partner teams in the organization to deliver complex projects.
  • Build strong partnerships with product and technology teams and ensure alignment with data science efforts.
  • Translate technical approaches and outcomes into business language.
  • Clearly articulate scope, timelines, dependencies, owners, actions, risks, and mitigations.
  • Report progress to teams and senior leadership in regular cadence, potentially representing segments of or the entire program.
Requirements:
  • Experience with project management, operating autonomously across multiple teams, with demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience breaking down problems, organizing work, planning, and building.
  • Help product, data science, and engineering teams make trade-off decisions by considering all data including business goals, technical platform strategy, customer experience, and maintainability.
  • Identify blocking issues and manage their resolution.
  • Proven track record of data-driven decision-making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams.
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships, partnering with and influencing dependent teams while commanding the respect of the individuals you work with across the organization.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
