We are seeking a highly qualified Tsilhqot'in Language and Culture Teacher to join our team at School District #27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Tsilhqot'in Language and Culture to students in a full-time continuing position.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Tsilhqot'in Language and Culture to students in a classroom setting
- Develop and implement lesson plans and overviews to meet the needs of students
- Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Work collaboratively with the school team to support student learning and achievement
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
- Professional Teaching Certificate
- Oral and written fluency in Tsilhqot'in Language
- Knowledge of traditional activities and culture
- Successful experience working in a classroom
- Ability to produce, use, and organize resources for class
- Ability to assess, evaluate, and give feedback to students and parents
- Competitive salary based on our current salary grid
