Job Summary

KENT METAL FABRICATION LTD. is seeking a skilled Welding Fabricator to join our team. As a Welding Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • English as the primary language of work.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. The successful candidate must be able to work in a hot and noisy environment and have good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
