Medical Imaging Scheduling Coordinator

The Medical Imaging Scheduling Coordinator plays a critical role in the delivery of patient care by performing scheduling and booking functions for various patient appointments within Medical Imaging. This position requires excellent multi-tasking skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Arrange times with patients, doctor's offices, nursing units, physicians, technical staff, and surgical/medical day care
- Make follow-up appointments and locate applicable images/films prior to appointments
- Rearrange schedules to meet changing demands/requests
- Prepare and confirm patient information and enter booking, patient, and image/film information into Hospital and Radiology Information systems
- File requisitions for all bookings
- Act as receptionist to support the delivery of patient care and ensure client/family needs are met above all other concerns
- Grade 12, two years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
