Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at our fabrication shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating piping systems in an industrial setting, working on compression and processing equipment packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to determine the layout and configuration of piping systems.
  • Use expertise to interpret blueprints and fabricate piping systems for pressure welders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Verify pipe dimensions, alignments, and quality to meet project standards and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure piping system integrity and performance.
  • Maintain records for quality assurance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including PPE use, lockout/tagout, and compliance with regulations.
  • Follow relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement hazard mitigation measures.
Requirements
  • Journeyman Pipefitter certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a fabrication specialist, demonstrating proficiency in fabrication techniques.
  • Alberta B-pressure ticket would be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with various pipe materials/grades.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex piping issues.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to pipefitting/fabrication work.
  • Good physical condition and stamina to perform manual labor and work in various conditions.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
