Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered to determine the best installation method
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to ensure a smooth installation process
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Prepare tenders and quotations to secure new business
  • Install resilient floor coverings, including vinyl and hardwood floors
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors to the highest standards of quality
  • Prepare floors for installations by ensuring they are clean and free of debris
  • Install vinyl decking materials to ensure a safe and durable finish
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in flooring installation
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Client focus and organized approach
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary tools and equipment
