Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Deckhand to join our team at Young Guns Fisheries Limited. As a Deckhand, you will be responsible for preparing nets, lines, and other fishing tackle, operating fishing gear to catch fish and other marine life, and maintaining fishing gear and other deck equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare nets, lines, and other fishing tackle for fishing operations
  • Operate fishing gear to catch fish and other marine life
  • Clean, sort, and pack fish in ice and stow catch in hold
  • Repair nets, splice ropes, and maintain fishing gear and other deck equipment
  • Clean deck surfaces and fish hold

Work Environment: This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. You will be handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces.

  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job

Benefits: This is a seasonal position with a bonus structure in place. You will be working 35-45 hours per week and will be required to speak English as the primary language of communication.
