About the Role

KPMG-Canada is seeking a highly skilled Global Mobility Tax Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our tax engagement team, you will be responsible for meeting clients' compliance needs and providing expert tax advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare working papers for income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review Canadian and US tax returns, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations.
  • Conduct tax consultations for arriving and departing taxpayers, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Manage client information, ensuring accurate and timely return completion.
  • Follow up with tax authorities, resolving any issues or discrepancies.
  • Provide support to team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive success.
  • Conduct tax and payroll research, staying up-to-date on the latest regulations and developments.

As a Global Mobility Tax Specialist, you will be expected to work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality results and exceed client expectations.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Canadian and/or US tax compliance.
  • Undergraduate degree completion, preferably in a related field.
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate team members.
  • Motivated with a focus on growth, with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Commitment to high standards of client service and professionalism, with a focus on quality and value addition.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle conflicting priorities.
  • Proficient in Excel, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Able to respond confidently to challenges, with a solutions-focused approach.
