A new and exciting opportunity has arisen in a global PE-backed manufacturing business based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with a hybrid working pattern. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Controller to join our team.
Main Responsibilities- Partner with various functional organizations to ensure daily operations and strategies align with corporate policies and achieve financial business goals.
- Prepare and provide status of program's financial performance to senior program and functional leadership.
- Assist in the development of various cost proposals and negotiations.
- Define financial reporting structures for earned value management and revenue reporting to ensure effective cost control.
- Provide financial leadership to program reviews, including monthly Program Performance Reviews, Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), and Estimate at Complete (EAC) updates.
- Manage a small team of analysts and ensure program execution on cost and schedule.
- Evaluate risks and opportunities, perform rate impact analysis, and report financial performance through quarterly Contract Status Reviews (CSR).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years' experience in Project Cost Management.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and macros.
- Systems experience, ideally including Cobra, Oracle, and other cost management tools.
- Earned Value Management (EVM) expertise.
- High analytical abilities.
