Job Title: Microbiological Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiological Laboratory Technician to join our team at Paracel Laboratories Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting biological tests and laboratory analyses, as well as maintaining inventory of supplies and disposing of outdated stock. They will also be required to collect and analyze data and samples, and perform data entry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct microbiological, biochemical tests and laboratory analyses
  • Set up and conduct biological tests and laboratory analyses
  • Assist in analysis of data and preparation of reports
  • Maintain inventory of supplies
  • Dispose of and account for outdated stock
  • Collect and analyze data and samples
  • Perform data entry
  • Conduct quality control
  • Operate laboratory apparatus
  • Maintain laboratory equipment
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Judgement
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to stand for extended periods. They will also be required to work under pressure and have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye co-ordination.
