About the Opportunity

Urban Systems is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our Indigenous Communities Practice in Vancouver. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that make a visible difference in Indigenous communities and local municipalities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Apply your civil engineering skills to provide workable solutions for infrastructure planning, design, and planning, including roadways, water, sanitary, drainage, and housing.
  • Connect with our Indigenous clients to strengthen relationships and provide access to funding opportunities and services.
  • Build and grow relationships with project leaders, clients, and contractors, and communicate effectively with internal teams and the public.
  • Prepare technical reports, plans, studies, proposals, and presentations.
  • Coach and mentor younger professionals and collaborate with others to continue building our team.
  • Develop proposals, work plans, and budgets in response to client needs and objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to prepare engineering designs, cost estimates, capital and implementation plans, risk assessments, and related documentation.

About You

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years of experience and registration or eligibility for registration as a professional member with EGBC. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Indigenous communities, knowledge of engineering design and analysis, and a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
