Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Lead Teacher at Engineering For Kids of Halton. In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate children in a fun and engaging environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Lead Teacher in preparing supplies and materials for programs
  • Encourage student participation and engagement through interactive activities and games
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed
  • Assist with demonstrations and experiments, ensuring a safe and controlled environment
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs and abilities of students
  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to plan and deliver programs that meet the goals and objectives of Engineering For Kids

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed
