Key Responsibilities- Site Preparation: Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas.
- Construction Support: Erect/install and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites.
- Concrete Work: Place and vibrate concrete.
- Assistance to Tradespersons: Assist tradespersons such as carpenters and cement finishers in construction activities.
- Site Maintenance: Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.
- Demolition: Assist demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean, and pile salvaged materials.
- Equipment Operation: Operate jack hammers and tampers as directed.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean construction site.
- Storage Management: Maintain organization of storage containers.
- Additional Duties: Additional duties as required.
- Professional Representation: Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.
- Policy Adherence: Adhere to Clark Builders' policies and procedures.
- Physical Ability: The physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., as well as performing repetitive motions, bending, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods throughout the day.
- Long-Hour Work: The ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks.
- Weather Conditions: The capability to work outside in various weather conditions depending on the season.
- Equipment Operation: The ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Commercial/Industrial Experience: Experience working in commercial/industrial construction is considered an asset.
- First Aid Certificate: Valid First Aid certificate an asset.
- Safety Certifications: Valid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.
