Spectrum Fabrications Inc. is seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Assistant to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the metal fabrication process. As a Metal Fabrication Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced fabricators to ensure the highest quality products are delivered on time.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in operating metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions.
  • Support structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers.
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Load and unload vehicles.
  • Read and interpret work orders.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Will train on the job.
Working Conditions
  • Permanent position available.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.

The estimated salary for this role is around $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
