Job Description

Belvika Trade & Packaging Ltd. is a leading contract packaging company, specializing in precision packing of dry foods, chocolate, and confectionary products.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Coordinator to join our team at our Thornmount facility. As a Shift Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, coordinating with production staff, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee daily production activities to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet production targets.
  • Ensure accurate recording and entry of lot codes into Nulogy and scanning of incoming packaging and bulk materials.
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and ensure a smooth supply chain.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and company standards.
  • Supervise production staff to ensure adequate labor is available to meet production requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by ensuring compliance with company health and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure efficient production flow and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Act as a backup for production supervisors during vacation or absences.
  • Train staff on specific job duties, company policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures when handling paperwork and inventory.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college or business degree in business or related courses an asset).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a production environment (food processing or food packaging environment preferred).
  • Experience with Nulogy, SAP, or other ERP/MRP systems is an asset.
Competencies:
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
