Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Locomotive Maintenance Professional to join our team at Railserve, Canada. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our locomotive fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of mechanical knowledge and proficiency in performing routine maintenance tasks on locomotives.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues with locomotives.
  • Accurately maintain records of preventative maintenance, repairs, and other activities.
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Conduct periodic safety assessments on equipment and implement controls to minimize hazards.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Extensive mechanical experience, with electrical experience a plus.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Able to operate cutting torch and electrical welder.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
