About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Analyst to join our Supply Chain Optimization team at RONA Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and continuous performance improvement across all supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) tools to support executive decision-making
  • Create KPI dashboards for various Supply Chain teams to track performance
  • Design and implement data models to support business requirements
  • Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to understand BI needs
  • Develop and execute the organization's business intelligence strategy aligned with corporate goals
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to derive actionable insights for informed decision-making
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for effective BI solutions
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization
  • Provide leadership in the BI domain, offering guidance to junior analysts and team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in data preparation, data warehousing, and databases
  • At least 5 years of experience with MS Power BI, MicroStrategy, or comparable BI and analytics platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (Python skills an asset)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including advanced Excel features (pivot tables, Power Query)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access (tables, query, macro) and intermediate understanding of databases such as SQL Server and Oracle
  • Ability to manage and manipulate large datasets, ensuring data integrity
  • Experience in data mining from multiple systems, handling big data sets both external and internal
  • Experience in supply chain, transportation, or distribution (an asset)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a context of transformational change and adaptability to evolving business needs
  • Proven ability to provide leadership and mentorship, especially in guiding junior analysts
  • Track record of providing high-quality deliverables on time and under pressure as well as managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
