Chef Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at @ ZAFFRAN. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as managing kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate special events and determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment, 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English as the primary language of work
Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be physically demanding. They will also be a team player with excellent judgement and reliability.
