Job Summary

The successful candidate will be accountable for maintaining the building and grounds, with a focus on safety, security, and asset protection.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting Property Operations
  • Supervise the distribution of repair work orders to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure that property policies are administered fairly and consistently.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation.
  • Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees to foster a positive work environment.
  • Monitor the timeliness and quality of completion of repair work orders to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise Engineering and related areas in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
  • Assist in managing the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, and life safety systems.
  • Ensure regular on-going communication with employees to create awareness of business objectives, communicate expectations, and recognize performance.
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Select and order or purchase new equipment, supplies, and furnishings to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of Engineering and related departments to ensure seamless execution.
Maintaining Property Standards
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records as required to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Operate generators and fire pumps as necessary to ensure business continuity.
  • Provide emergency response services 24/7 to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
  • Repair equipment (e.g., refrigeration, laundry) as necessary to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all employees have the proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms to perform their duties effectively.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service by setting a positive example and promoting a culture of guest satisfaction.
  • Emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement to exceed guest expectations.
  • Set a positive example for guest relations by demonstrating a commitment to exceptional service.
Conducting Human Resources Activities
  • Help train employees in safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.
  • Communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position to ensure clarity and understanding.
  • Ensure disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs) and support the Peer Review Process.
  • Assist as needed in the interviewing and hiring of employee team members with the appropriate skills to meet business needs.
  • Participate in the employee performance appraisal process, providing feedback as needed to support employee growth and development.
  • Use all available on-the-job training tools for employees to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Solicit employee feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the employee experience.
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $96,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
