About the Job
  • This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week.
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field.
  • A strong physical presence is essential, as the job involves working outdoors and being physically demanding.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
  • Construct and repair wood or metal supports and structures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is an asset but not required.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed primarily outdoors.
  • Physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 per year based on industry standards and location.
