Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor

Fulton Child Care Association is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team. As an Early Childhood Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our child care centre, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our children, and providing a nurturing environment that promotes their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
Requirements:
  • Child Development Supervisor (ECE level 3) certification
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Basic security clearance and criminal record check
