Our organization is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations, including children and adolescents. As a Pediatric Mental Health Clinician, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission by providing expert mental health services to pediatric patients in emergency departments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments to identify client and family needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Provide crisis intervention and short-term follow-up treatment services as needed
- Collaborate with emergency department staff, community agencies, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless transitions and coordinated care
- Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to discharge planning and aftercare services
Requirements
- Masters degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or a related field
- At least 2 years' experience in child and adolescent mental health, including assessment, intervention, and case management
- Eligibility for registration with relevant professional associations
- Valid BC driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
