About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our team at Savage Arms (Canada), Inc. in a permanent position. The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work a 35-hour week, with a focus on providing physical accessibility accommodations, visual accessibility accommodations, and awareness training to employees.
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition and offer mentorship programs that pair them with experienced employees.
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Offer workshops, counselling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
  • Support Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
  • Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
  • Offer phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload and provide resources to help mature workers plan their retirement.
  • Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities and offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
