Job Title: Security Guard

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team at the City of Brampton - Gateway Transit Terminal. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, customers, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to and report all incidents of criminal activity, suspicious activity, and hazardous situations.
  • Provide access control and unlock/lock doors as needed.
  • Conduct proactive patrols of the terminal stops and platforms to deter and prevent prohibited acts.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons.
  • De-escalate crisis situations and provide support to emergency personnel.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of Security Guard experience in a municipal government or corporate environment.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including customer service skills.
  • Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario and current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
