We are a reputable cleaning services company seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of various facilities.


Job Summary

This is a permanent position offering 40 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and possess a strong attention to detail. If you are a team player who takes pride in your work, we encourage you to apply.


Key Responsibilities
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure they are clean and safe for users.
  • Dust and Vacuum: Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Disinfect and Polish: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to prevent the spread of germs.
  • Customer Service: Provide basic information on facilities and address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Waste Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Window Cleaning: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to ensure they are clean and streak-free.
  • Special Tasks: Clean changing rooms and showers, and perform other tasks as required.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but an asset.
  • Work Setting: Office building, various locations, commercial building, hospital/medical facility or clinic.
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance, criminal record check, driver's validity license check.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and repetitive tasks.
  • Tools and Equipment: Safety equipment/gear and steel-toed safety boots.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, reliability, team player, values and ethics.
