Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Process medication orders and prepare prescriptions for distribution to patients, clients, or residents.
- Verify prescriptions for completeness and authenticity, and ensure that allergy status and demographics are accurate.
- Prepare and process prescriptions by counting, measuring, packaging, or re-packaging medications and compounding sterile pharmaceutical products according to established procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of dispensed prescriptions by verifying order entries and performing final checks.
- Process prescriptions for temporary inpatient leaves of absence and transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies.
- Enter and maintain accurate records of medication verification and quality assurance checks.
- Distribute medications and maintain relevant inventory, wardstock, and narcotic records.
- Maintain department work areas and ensure tidiness and order.
- Grade 12 and graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
