Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Materials Handler to join our team at TOPWEST CONSTRUCTION LTD. As a key member of our site operations team, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, as well as instructing apprentices and performing routine maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading construction materials from vehicles and equipment
  • Transporting materials to and from construction sites
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials
  • Performing routine maintenance work to ensure site equipment is in good working order
  • Instructing apprentices in safe work practices and procedures
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliability and dependability
