About the Job:

The Perinatal Nurse Specialist will practice in a perinatal clinical setting, responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of client care. This role requires collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of client-centered care, assisting individual clients and their families to respond to changing healthcare needs.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a specialized body of knowledge, basing practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities. This is a Casual opportunity, with hours not guaranteed and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights, rotating from 07:00 to 19:15, 19:00 to 07:15 hours. The hourly wage for this position will be $41.42 to $55.91.

The Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital's Maternal Child unit offers a diverse and dynamic work environment, providing care for Antenatal, Intrapartum, and Postpartum patients and families. This position would be suitable for a perinatal nurse with high and low risk delivery experience, who is comfortable with their decision-making abilities and is a team player.
