Cybersecurity Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Podtech Data Centers Inc.

This role is responsible for protecting our networks and systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resource permissions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft security solutions, including Microsoft Defender, EntraID, and Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and audit system access to prevent unauthorized activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify security gaps and implement necessary enhancements.
  • Upgrade network and infrastructure systems to meet security standards.
  • Analyze logs, network data, and other attack artifacts to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct customized application security assessments to assess asset risk and compliance.
  • Assess current security risks and trends.
  • Propose and implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance system stability.
  • Maintain secure network configurations, access controls, and encryption protocols.
  • Monitor systems for signs of unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
  • Prepare performance reports and communicate system status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve security objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education/work experience.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft (M365) suite of products.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, SOC 2, CIS, ISO, and SOX.
  • Proven experience in using intrusion detection software, such as SIEM products, IDS, and IPS.
  • Certifications like CISSP, CEH, CISA, CompTIA Security+, CISM, and Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals are advantageous.
