About the Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nutrition and Food Services Worker to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient meals and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and assemble patient meals, including menu planning and food preparation
  • Deliver and collect patient trays, ensuring timely and efficient service
  • Maintain a clean and safe food service environment, adhering to strict sanitation and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff
About You

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. As a Nutrition and Food Services Worker, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Grade 12/GED or equivalent
  • Restaurant experience is considered an asset
  • Customer service skills are essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve departmental and organizational goals
  • Ability to perform duties within expected timeframes and standards of accuracy
Hours and Compensation

This is a casual relief position, with hours varying depending on the needs of the department. The hourly rate for this position is $19.26-20.02.
